Fleet Assistants

About the Role

Oversee the daily operations of the vehicle fleet, including scheduling and dispatching vehicles for use.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance Coordination : Schedule regular maintenance and repairs for vehicles to ensure they remain safe and operational. Monitor service records and compliance with maintenance schedules.
• Inventory Management : Keep track of vehicle inventory, including acquisitions, disposals, and any modifications or upgrades to existing vehicles.
• Safety Compliance : Ensure that all vehicles meet safety regulations and standards set by local laws or industry requirements. Conduct regular safety inspections.
• Driver Management : Coordinate driver schedules, monitor driver behaviour (such as fuel efficiency), manage training programs, and maintain driver records such as licenses or certifications.
• Reporting & Analysis : Prepare reports on vehicle usage statistics, operational efficiency metrics (like fuel economy), accidents / incidents involving drivers / vehicles; analyse data to identify areas for improvement.
• Communication & Coordination : Serve as a point of contact between drivers / transportation personnel and management; communicate expectations clearly regarding performance standards.
• Policy Development : Help develop company policies regarding vehicle use (e.g., driving practices), accident procedures / training sessions on safe driving habits / etc., ensuring adherence among staff members who utilize fleets regularly.
