We’re hiring at our location in Doha

Senior Project Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities :

Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.

Ensure adherence to plans and specifications for civil / marine works projects.

Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments.

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and the shipyard operations team.

Act as the permit coordinator with port authorities.

Facilitate communication among internal departments and on-site contractors.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance and quality.

Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.

Manage project costs and ensure expenditures are within budget.

Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment.

Maintain comprehensive project documentation and prepare regular progress reports.

Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Oversee site preparation, including surveys and geotechnical investigations.

Manage installation and maintenance of essential utilities and ensure regulatory compliance.

Implement measures to minimize environmental impact and review technical specifications.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in civil or Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.

Experience :

Minimum of 10 years in project planning, cost control, and execution, preferably in civil or marine construction.

Knowledge :

Strong understanding of project management principles and practices; experience with coordinating contractors and regulatory authorities.

Computer Skills : Proficiency in project management software and advanced Microsoft Office.

Language Skills : Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written) and basic oral Arabic.
