Responsibilities

Install, operate, repair, replace, modify, test, and troubleshoot electrical equipment under CE responsibility.

Perform facility management duties for substations on AUAB under CE responsibility.

Inspect, operate, maintain, and repair electrical distribution from 24 V to 4160 V.

Mark electrical equipment, motors, and panel boxes to meet the National Electrical Code.

Use technical orders, manufacturer handbooks, local procedures, codes, and directives to install, repair equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.

Advise on, diagnose, and repair electrical power distribution and special purpose electrical systems installation malfunctions.

Complete and maintain records and inspection reports; keep work areas clean and safe.

Follow OSHA and NFPA safety requirements; safeguard government property provided for contractor use.

Complete training in compliance with Vectrus, OSHA, and USAF requirements; accurately complete timesheets and report time per company procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned; work primarily indoors with potential outdoor support for events; overtime and shift work may be required.

Be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support operations.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications : High school diploma or equivalent; NFPA 70, 70E, 110, 111 qualifications; valid US passport; U.S. SECRET security clearance prior to deployment; valid US driver’s license (manual transmission) and ability to obtain an Air Force flight line driver’s license; pass flight line access test and related qualification requirements; successful completion of online and hands-on CBRN defense training and fit testing for DoD gear.

Experience : Minimum of three years electrical / power production experience; ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics; experience with 24 V to 4160 V systems; understanding of electronics and electricity including distribution, substation equipment, panel boards, switchgear, breakers, transformers, and related test equipment; knowledge of safety, grounding, environmental policies.

Other : Possess the ability to work on secondary distribution lines and service entrances; pass various employment and deployment qualification requirements including medical, dental, drug testing, and background checks.
