The Senior Legal Officer is responsible for reviewing and appropriately amending all official company contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Study, draft, and review various contracts and agreements such as franchise agreements, agency agreements, joint venture agreements, master service agreements, confidentiality agreements, memorandums of understanding, property related agreements and the like.
- Ensure that the organization and its subsidiaries, affiliates, are up to date with current and existing law on corporate related matters.
- Handle documents legal translation as may be required. Assist in studies and research, and ensure compliance of the legal process with best‑practice laws and corporate legal standards.
- Research and legal studies.
- Assistance in litigation.
- Preparation, negotiation and review of legal agreements governing commercial relationships with second to third parties with whom the company has dealings.
- Scrutiny and verification of documents for purchase / acquisition of premises for opening new businesses.
- Drafting various types of property deeds and translation of the same as may be required.
- Coordinating with legal team and colleagues.
- Assist when required with the leadership team responsible for developing the medium to long term vision.
- Assist in the strategic planning process at the department.
- Responsible for achievement of the department’s strategic objectives.

Graduate of Law.Bilingual, both English and Arabic; French is an asset.In-depth knowledge in commercial and common law, preferably in legal contracts, business acquisition & legal registration, banking, and insurances.Equally able and effective working individually and as part of a team.Computer literate using MS Suite.Solid experience of 5 to 10 years in a similar capacity.About The Company
