Senior Draftsman GIS (Roads O&M)

Job Purpose

To prepare review and maintain engineering drawings for road maintenance and infrastructure works ensuring compliance with client requirements applicable standards and project specifications.

Principal Accountability & Responsibility

• Prepare and update Drawings for all assets management drawings road maintenance drawings and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers surveyors and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure all drawings comply with Ashghal requirements QCS and relevant standards.
• Incorporate review comments and maintain drawing registers and document control records.
• Support permit applications utility coordination and technical submissions.

Qualifications :

Education and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering Drafting Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of drafting experience in roads and infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Road Operations & Maintenance projects.
• Experience with Ashghal projects and TDP preparation is preferred.

Key Skills and Knowledge

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D knowledge is an advantage.
• Qatar Geoportal using Google Earth and KMZ files and GIS is an advantage
• Strong understanding of road geometry and infrastructure maintenance.
• Knowledge of Ashghal standards QHDM and TDP requirements is an advantage
• Good coordination communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
