Purpose

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape Ooredoo Money's SME and microlending business strategy while driving significant commercial impact in Qatar's rapidly evolving fintech and small business financing landscape. SME Business Scaling & Partnership Management

  • Own the commercial strategy for scaling Ooredoo Money's SME business ecosystem, including merchant services, business accounts, and value‑added services.
  • Identify, evaluate, and commercially onboard SME‑focused partners including business solution providers, accounting software companies, and supply chain finance partners.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, revenue sharing models, and SLAs with SME ecosystem partners to ensure optimal business outcomes.
  • Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for SME services, including pricing models, business incentives, and acquisition campaigns.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SME services while maintaining commercial viability and regulatory compliance.

Credit Risk & Portfolio Commercial Management

  • Own the commercial P&L for Ooredoo Money's SME and microlending business lines.
  • Develop and execute scaling strategies to grow loan origination volumes, portfolio size, and revenue contribution.
  • Analyze credit market trends, competitor positioning, and regulatory dynamics to optimize commercial strategy and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Manage key institutional relationships and negotiate commercial terms with microlending and SME business partners.
  • Data Analytics & Commercial Intelligence

  • Leverage advanced analytics to identify lending opportunities, customer behavior patterns, and credit risk indicators across individual and SME segments.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive dashboards tracking lending performance, portfolio metrics, commercial KPIs, and early warning indicators.
  • Conduct deep‑dive analyses on borrower data, transaction patterns, and repayment behavior to optimize underwriting criteria and improve loan economics.
  • Generate actionable insights from lending and SME transaction data to inform commercial strategy, risk management, and market expansion decisions.
  • Cross‑Functional Commercial Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with technology, risk management, and compliance teams to ensure commercial requirements are integrated into lending platform development.
  • Draft detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) that translate business objectives into actionable technical, risk, and operational specifications.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) for lending solutions, ensuring commercial requirements are met before launch.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

  • Monitor microlending industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive developments to inform commercial strategy and product positioning.
  • Conduct regular analysis of competitor lending offerings, pricing models, underwriting criteria, and market positioning strategies.
  • Identify emerging fintech lending technologies and assess their commercial viability for Ooredoo Money's ecosystem.
  • Support strategic decision‑making through comprehensive market intelligence and commercial opportunity assessments in the SME financing space.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

  • Prepare and present regular commercial performance reports to senior management, highlighting lending portfolio metrics, SME business performance, and growth opportunities.
  • Manage stakeholder communications across internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment of commercial objectives and risk management.
  • Lead commercial discussions with key SME clients, lending partners, and regulatory stakeholders to drive business growth and resolve commercial issues.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • P&L for SME and microlending business.
  • Number of merchants and new partnerships for driving business growth.
  • Customer Satisfaction / Voice of Customer score across SME and consumer base.
  • Experience

  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in SME banking, lending business, or commercial management within fintech, banking, or digital financial services.
  • Proven track record of launching financial products and managing commercial P&L responsibility with demonstrated revenue growth in SME services or lending.
  • Minimum Entry Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in commercial / business management within fintech, banking, or digital financial service industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
