Fire Watchman

Job Description

Responsibilities :

Monitor hot work activities (welding, cutting, grinding, etc.) to prevent fire hazards.

Ensure that all fire safety equipment (extinguishers, hoses, fire blankets) is available and in good condition at the worksite.

Maintain continuous vigilance in the designated work area to identify and control fire risks.

Raise alarm and take immediate action in case of sparks, fires, or unsafe conditions.

Ensure proper Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures are followed before starting hot work.

Qualifications & Experience :

High School Certificate or equivalent.

Basic Firefighting Training / Certification (mandatory).

Minimum 2–4 years’ experience as Fire Watchman in Oil & Gas, Shipyard, or Construction industry.

Familiar with hot work activities and fire prevention techniques.

Knowledge of HSE rules, PTW system, and emergency procedures .

Requirements

Qualifications : A Degree in Mechanical Engineering Professional Certification & fabrication Yard experience Experience : Minimum 3 years of continuous working experience in a similar position Have previous experience in the field of offshore fabrication projects (Jackets, Topside, Process modules, Living Quarter module).
