Wood are actively seeking Expression of Interest for Commercial Manager role to support future growth in our expanding business. This role will be based in Qatar. This individual will oversee the contract commercial management tasks aligned with our Framework for Managing the Fundamentals (FMF). The responsibilities will be centred around managing the Contract, Risk, Change Management, Monitoring Returns, following Cash Must-does, and Supply Chain. This requires a candidate with robust commercial acumen, adaptable skills, and the ability to manage oversight and direct contract management tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Handover and Initial Setup : Transition Management with the Commercial Acquire representative to lead a structured handover from pre- to Post-Contract Award; ensure everyone understands commercial obligations. Post-Award Contract Administration and Compliance : Establish commercial administration procedures; maintain contract-required deliverables, guarantees, insurances, change management plans, invoicing, and templates; manage contractual correspondence. Risk Management : Understand and manage risks identified during Capture / Acquire; maintain risk registers; coordinate with project director / manager; ensure risk ownership and reporting. Change Management : Understand contract change mechanisms; enforce change protocols; price and structure change orders; maintain records; negotiate outcomes; develop a strategic change plan. Procurement and Subcontracting : Ensure flow-downs and evaluate subcontractor / supplier performance. Financial and Cash Flow Management : Enforce Cash Must-Do practices; oversee profitability and project returns. Project Monitoring and Reporting : Attend PMRs; report on commercial performance and risk; monitor project metrics. Project Oversight and Supervision : Supervise Contracts Managers; step in as Contracts Manager on high-priority projects. Commercial Closeout : Lead closeout, manage Defects Liability period, resolve claims and disputes per FMF.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills 10-15 years in project commercial management on large-scale projects (engineering / construction preferred) In-depth post-award contract management knowledge, risk mitigation, and change management Strategic communication and collaboration across organization levels Financial analysis related to project cash flow and profitability Highly organized with attention to detail Educational Background Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Business, or Law preferred Significant commercial management experience (10-15 years) in contract negotiation, project delivery, and financial management
