CARGO HANDLING FOREMAN

Primary Purpose of the Job

Oversee the activities of the service providers performing jetty and stevedoring activities, including discharging of cargo. Allocate port equipment and collate cargo & vessel documentation to facilitate logistics operations.

Required Experience and Skills

4 years experience, 2 years of which must have been in the marine industry, preferably in port logistics. Must be competent with computers and have knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office and email Packages. Good interpersonal and organizational skills Basic knowledge of cargo operations, safety and planning for dry cargoes and oil terminals including stevedore operations of a multi cargo port. Basic knowledge of port operations contracts and experience in managing port labour.

Educational Qualifications

Completed secondary education or certified mate's license
