About the Role

We are seeking a technically strong and dependable professional to manage placement activities for our Property & Casualty (General Insurance) portfolio.

This role involves direct negotiation with insurers, renewal structuring, and deal placement across multiple classes including property, marine, construction, liability, and motor.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical competence, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced brokerage environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end placement process for renewals and new business.
Prepare insurer-facing RFQs and coordinate quotations across multiple lines.
Compare, structure, and recommend final terms and coverage options.
Negotiate directly with underwriters to secure optimal pricing and coverage.
Liaise with clients to gather underwriting information and clarify coverage requirements.
Support the Service and Relationship teams to ensure policy issuance accuracy and compliance.
Provide technical insight on policy wordings, endorsements, and claims positioning where needed.

Requirements

5 to 7 years of experience in general insurance placement or underwriting (broker or insurer side).

Strong understanding of core P&C lines : property, marine, construction / CAR, liability, and motor.

Proven ability to handle multi-class placements independently.

Confident negotiator with strong analytical and comparative skills.

Familiarity with insurer portals and Excel reporting tools.

Experience in the Qatar or GCC insurance market is preferred.

Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., Cert CII) are an advantage.

Language : English required; Arabic preferred.
