Overview Interior Design Engineer - 6 months Contract - Corporate Service

Job Purpose Responsible to plan, design and propose interior arrangement of Commercial and Residential buildings. Duties include consulting with Line Manager and departmental colleagues to capture architectural requirements, preferences, purpose and functionalities, budget, type of fit out works, synergies, adjacencies and other factors which contribute to planning interior arrangement and ambience.

Responsibilities

Plan, design, specify and supervise major / minor renovation and modelling activities at residential and commercial properties.

Prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes using computer-aided design (AutoCAD) software.

Integrate findings with knowledge of interior design and formulate plans that are practical, aesthetic and conducive for intended purpose, compliant with Life Safety Parameters.

Inspect furniture and fixtures installed in corporate offices in Doha and ensure that the installation is compliant with specifications and approved layouts.

Maintain illustrative materials on available products and materials for selection by the User Departments as well as Management.

Prepare proposals for design work including sketches and quantity estimates for various work items for deriving cost estimates and subsequent approvals.
