Role Objective
Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of all mechanical equipment in the plant. The role involves coordinating with multiple departments, optimizing maintenance resources, and enhancing the efficiency of maintenance activities through data-driven planning, reliability engineering, and best maintenance practices.
Detailed Roles and Responsibilities
Planning and Scheduling
- Prepare and implement annual business plans, budgets, policies, and procedures for the Preventive Maintenance section.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance activities to ensure optimal utilization of manpower and minimal disruption to production.
- Develop contingency and emergency maintenance plans to minimize the impact of equipment failures on operations, safety, and business continuity.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of preventive maintenance plans, schedules, and standard procedures.
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Execution
Manage and follow up on the implementation of preventive maintenance programs, including inspection, lubrication, condition monitoring, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).Conduct regular audits and inspections of maintenance activities to ensure compliance with standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.Supervise and allocate preventive maintenance manpower effectively to meet plant maintenance targets.Utilize CMMS / SAP systems for job planning, scheduling, history logging, and maintenance reporting.Performance Monitoring and Analysis
Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, potential failure modes, and opportunities for reliability improvement.Recommend and implement corrective and improvement actions to enhance equipment uptime and performance.Support vibration analysis, alignment, balancing, and condition monitoring initiatives.Coordination and Resource Management
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure the availability of required tools, resources, and spare parts.Study spare parts consumption patterns to optimize inventory levels in a cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest quality standards.Identify critical spares, raise material requisitions, verify received materials, and ensure proper fitment and storage.Technical and Project Involvement
Identify sustainable improvement opportunities for plant and maintenance projects by introducing best practices, tools, and modern maintenance technologies.Prepare scopes of work, review technical offers, evaluate bids, and supervise project execution to completion.Provide technical expertise in maintaining kiln and pyro-process equipment, crushing and grinding systems, material conveying, and packing plants.Maintain utilities systems in cement plants including water, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Qualifications and Skills
