Role Purpose Deliver a rewarding and stimulating English language learning experience. Ensure quality teaching and effective learning of English aligning with the British Councils cultural relations mission. If you are passionate about education and eager to make a difference this role is for you.

Main Accountabilities In this role you will plan prepare and deliver highquality English language teaching that meets the diverse needs of our learners. You will ensure that your teaching aligns with British Council Global Teaching Standards and meets both organizational and learner expectations.

You will monitor student progress provide regular feedback and promote learner autonomy and progress. Engaging in professional development and performance management is essential to maintain high standards in teaching and learning keeping the British Council at the forefront of best ELT practices.

As part of the teaching centre activities you will support the centres plans attend staff meetings and contribute to the development evaluation and improvement of English language courses and related services. You will assist in local marketing and promotional strategies deliver excellent customer service and complete teachingrelated administrative tasks to specified standards.

Maintaining good relationships with customers and colleagues is crucial. You will help students understand the UK and its values fostering intercultural interactions both in and out of class. Compliance with guidelines and policies related to Safeguarding Data Protection Equality Diversity and Inclusion Special Educational Needs and Disability Health and Safety is mandatory.

About You (essential requirements for the role)

Cambridge CELTA / Trinity Certificate TESOL (TEFLi) or equivalent

2 years postcertificate experience (TEFLi) (and / or equivalent to 1200 hours).

Experience in teaching relevant age groups :

Early Years aged 2 to 5 400hours)

Primary aged 6 to 10 400 hours)

Lower Secondary aged 11 to 14 800 hours)

Upper Secondary aged 15 to 17 400 hours)

University / Vocational students aged 18 to 25 400hours)

Adults General English 18 800 hours)

High proficiency in English i.e. CEFR level of C2 / IELTS Band 8 in each of 4 sections of the academic module.

Desirable requirements

Recognised diploma in EFL eg. DELTA / Trinity Diploma (TEFLq)

Specialism where appropriate eg YL qualification : TYLEC (or equivalent) PGCE / BEd in Primary or relevant subject.
