Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Supply Chain

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Supply Chain Management to support critical defense programs. This role requires deep knowledge of supply chain planning, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier development within the context of military and defense environments. The SME will lead initiatives to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance, ensuring readiness, resilience, compliance, and cost-effectiveness across defense systems lifecycles. Key Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance on all aspects of defense supply chain operations, including planning, sourcing, logistics, and sustainment. Analyze supply chain performance and develop strategies to reduce risk, improve efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of mission-critical materials and components. Lead the design and implementation of supply chain frameworks that align with program schedules, contractual requirements, and defense readiness objectives. Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, quality, and program management teams to synchronize supply chain activities. Evaluate and manage supplier performance, including audits, quality reviews, compliance with defense standards, and risk mitigation strategies. Support inventory optimization, demand forecasting, and lifecycle logistics planning for military platforms and systems. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
