Position Title : Quality Lead
Job Purpose
The Quality Lead (Improvement) plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, fitness-for-service, and lifecycle quality of all goods and services procured across MP and department Projects. As a member of the Shared Services Quality Team, this role is responsible for analyzing project quality data, identifying trends, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Improvement & Oversight
- Conduct trend analysis of quality data and develop actionable improvement plans.
- Collaborate with major project departments project quality managers to implement initiatives aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and assess contractor and vendor performance to ensure compliance with operator quality expectations.
Risk Management & Analysis
Evaluate project quality risks and develop mitigation strategies using tools such as SWOT, FMEA, fault tree analysis, decision trees, and bowtie diagrams.Analyze audit findings, deficiency reports (DRs), nonconformance reports (NCRs), and specification deviation requests (SDRs) to identify systemic issues and propose corrective actions.Stakeholder Engagement
Provide guidance to contractor and vendor quality teams in developing quality plans, gap analyses, and procedures.Authorize and oversee quality activities conducted by contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and sub-vendors.Knowledge Management & Digital Tools
Collect and analyze lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle to inform future initiatives.Facilitate the implementation of digital quality tools including dashboards, e-NCR systems, and electronic file management.Continuous Improvement
Participate in lessons learned sessions and contribute to optimizing quality interfaces for future projects.Ensure all activities comply with operator Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality policies.Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sciences.Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality within the Oil & Gas industry.At least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role, including acting roles or vendor / service personnel management.Experience with major Oil & Gas operators, contractors, or service companies.Familiarity with large-scale operating environments in Operations, Projects, or Subsurface.Certifications
Certification in Quality Improvement Processes and Statistical Methods (e.g., Power BI).Technical Skills
Proficiency in quality statistical tools and risk analysis techniques : SWOT, FMEA, fault tree analysis, fishbone diagrams, Pareto charts, control charts, regression analysis, etc.Strong understanding of industry standards and quality systems.Knowledge of project management systems tailored to the Oil & Gas sector.Additional Requirements
