Senior Java Software Engineer

Overview

The Group Securities is a well-established investment organization working in the finance industry since 1989. The company is licensed by the Qatar Financial Market Authority and is a member of the Qatar Stock Exchange, offering services as a brokerage firm including margin trading and liquidity provision for listed shares and ETFs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure backend services using Java (Spring Boot) .
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Architect solutions with a strong focus on performance , scalability , and maintainability .
• Write unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure high code quality.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and establish best practices in coding and design.
• Contribute to microservices architecture and participate in design and implementation decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in Agile / Scrum ceremonies and contribute to project planning and estimation.
