Job Summary

The Tape Plant Fitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment in the tape production line used for manufacturing polypropylene (PP) tapes for woven bags and FIBC products. The role ensures smooth and uninterrupted operations of the tape extrusion and processing lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and align machinery and equipment in the tape production line.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on extrusion machines, rollers, winders, heating systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize production downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections of machines and identify potential issues before they affect production.
• Work closely with the production team to support machine setup, start-up, and adjustments.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of all repair activities.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for spare parts and technical support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote safe working practices in the plant.
• Assist in training junior fitters or helpers when required.
