Senior Manager, Credit Documentation - Qatar

Ready to shape the future of international finance? Our valued client an international bank, is seeking a senior manager, International Credit Documentation to join its team in Qatar.

The role is to ensure rigorous compliance with legal and supporting documentation for facility applications across the banks headquarters and international branches. In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in upholding the highest industry and market standards, securing necessary approvals, and adhering to group policies and regulatory requirements. Our client seeks someone who can implement credit policies, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and proactively participate in updating procedures to meet evolving market needs. You'll also be expected to maintain close ties with market intelligence to swiftly address credit risk issues and effectively manage documentation and loan processes, ultimately guaranteeing the appropriateness, validity, and enforceability of security documentation to protect the Group's interests.

To qualify, our client requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Master's is a plus), along with a professional accounting or internal audit qualification (CIA, CPA, ACCA). You'll need a minimum of 12 years of experience in a banking audit function, with at least 8 years in a similar senior role, including a proven track record of developing and implementing quality assurance policies and managing a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are a must (Arabic is preferable). You'll also need a strong legal and documentation background, proficiency in corporate governance, risk concepts, international banking operations / practices, and pertinent regulatory requirements, plus knowledge of Basel Committee best practices.
