Instrument Technician

The Instrument Technician plays a crucial role in the oil and gas industry particularly in ensuring the optimal performance of instrumentation and control systems This position is essential for maintaining the safety and efficiency of operations in a dynamic work environment The ideal candidate will have a solid background in instrumentation with handson experience in troubleshooting calibrating and maintaining various types of instruments used in the industry With a focus on safety and compliance the Instrument Technician will work closely with engineers and other technical staff to ensure that all systems are functioning correctly and efficiently Responsibilities Calibrate and maintain various types of instrumentation and control systems Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance Document all maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of instrument performance Collaborate with engineering teams to implement improvements and upgrades to existing systems Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all maintenance activities Assist in the development of maintenance schedules and procedures for instrumentation Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and other staff Participate in incident investigations and contribute to the development of preventive measures Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and instrumentation supplies Stay updated with the latest technologies and advancements in instrumentation Preferred Candidate Strong analytical and problemsolving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and precision Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Proactive attitude towards safety and compliance Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks Experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software for instrumentation Ability to work independently and as part of a team
