Senior Telecom Design Engineer

Responsibilities : -

• Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment
• Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects
• Undertake activities and tasks with minimal or no supervision and guidance. These will typically comprise of :
• Preparation, checking and approval of philosophies, specifications, design drawings, studies, requisitions, technical evaluations and general Telecom system (PAGA, CCTV, LAN, Telephone, FOC, Radio, ACS) documentation.
• Review, checking and approval of third-party supplier drawings and documentation for all types of Telecom equipment.
• Developing enquiry documentation including MR, TBE, MTOs and man-hour estimates.
• Co-ordination meetings and liaison with home office, clients and suppliers.
• Supervision, support and guidance of subordinate engineers and designers.
• Inspection, checking and witness testing of telecom system equipment at suppliers' works as necessary.
• Engineering support during construction and commissioning phase activities.
• Fully coherent in all international codes and standards
• Participate in site visits, project review meetings, design reviews and other workshops as required
• Participation in design reviews, value engineering / safety workshops
• Ensuring technical integrity of the Telecom deliverables for the project. Ensure compliance with the work scope and with applicable international standards and various Client standards.
• Ensuring that telecom design activities are carried out in stipulated period of the project.
• Maintaining the quality of the documentation as per approved quality procedures of Company and attending spot checks, internal / external audits etc.
