The CSSD Technician is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
This role ensures strict adherence to infection control standards, supports surgical and procedural areas, and oversees operational tasks during assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervise and coordinate CSSD staff and workflow during assigned shiftsClean, disinfect, and decontaminate surgical instruments using proper protocolsAssemble and inspect instrument trays for function, cleanliness, and completenessOperate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization parametersMaintain inventory, request repairs, and track tray components and missing itemsFollow universal precautions and safety standards in all work areasEnsure accurate wrapping, pouching, and labeling of instruments per protocolDispatch and distribute sterile and non-sterile supplies and surgical case cartsSanitize workstations and maintain a clean, organized working environmentUse computer systems for data entry and supply requisitioning#J-18808-Ljbffr
