Registered Nurse Home Health

The Home Healthcare Registered Nurse is a key member supporting the clinical team in the delivery of the capability set out within the contract. The Home Healthcare Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting those Afghan guests that are medical fragile and require assistance with basic healthcare needs. The Home Healthcare Registered Nurse works closely with the clinical team to ensure delivery of quality healthcare to those unable to easily care for themselves.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing headtotoe physical assessments.
• Checking vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure.
• Monitor progress and response to treatment.
• Updating treating physician regarding progress and needs.
• Chronic disease management.
• Wound care and dressing.
• Administration of intravenous (IV) therapies.
• Inhome enteral feeding (tube feedings).
• Pain management.
• Nasopharyngeal and tracheostomy aspiration.
• Respiratory care.
• Dietary education and teaching.
• Chest tube management.
• Administering and maintaining catheters.
• Infection prevention.
• Wound caresuch as dressing changes and care for complex nonhealing wounds.
• Educating family caregiver about medical conditions needs and care.
• Management of medications.
• Setting up a schedule and system for taking medications correctly.
• Evaluating how medications are working.
• Education about each medications purpose dosage and side effects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a registered nurse.
• Associates or bachelors degree of Nursing preferred.
• Licensed in home country of record.
• Experience in clinical medicine such as emergency room or family practice.
• Experience providing home healthcare preferred but not required.
• Obtain provided American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or equivalent.

Essential Capabilities:

• Ability to work calmly and effectively under highstress work conditions.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplined team with clinical and nonclinical personnel.
• Discretion and confidentiality when dealing with personal and sensitive information.
• Extremely flexible and have the ability to cope with stressful situations.
• Computer skills and the ability to operate MS Office with Outlook Word and PowerPoint.

Other Special Qualifications:

• Must be able to read write and speak English to effectively communicate.
• This position is unaccompanied.
• Ability to obtain a Base Security Clearance.
• Must be able to relocate to Doha Qatar.
• A valid passport in Country of Record is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Qatar.

Additional Information :

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
