Overview

We have job opportunity as “Mechanical Technician” for 6 Months Shutdown. Responsibilities

Carry out maintenance, dismantling, inspection, repair, and reassembly of rotating and static mechanical equipment, such as pumps (centrifugal and reciprocating), compressors, gearboxes, turbine, mixture, fin-fan, ID, FD, blowers and fans. Perform precision alignment of rotating equipment using dial indicators and laser alignment tools. Conduct equipment inspection and troubleshooting to detect faults or wear. Replace defective parts including seals, bearings, gaskets, shafts, couplings, and mechanical seals. Follow technical drawings, isometrics, and job packages accurately. Support mechanical scopes during shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency maintenance activities. Work safely under SABIC’s permit-to-work system, including LOTO, confined space, and hot work procedures. Coordinate with other teams (electrical, instrument, rigging) to execute integrated work packages. Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly handled and maintained. Qualifications

Education : Technical Diploma or Industrial Certificate in Mechanical Maintenance or related field. Experience : Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in petrochemical, refinery, or heavy industrial plants. Experience : Proven experience in shutdown or turnaround maintenance is essential. Certifications (Preferred) : SABIC or Aramco Permit to Work Holder; OSHA or site-specific safety certifications; Basic Rigging & Lifting safety awareness (optional).
