Mechanical Technician

Job Description

Responsibilities :

Perform hands-on dismantling, inspection, repair, and overhauling of pumps (centrifugal, multistage, submersible, screw, and reciprocating).

Conduct condition assessments, tolerance checks, and failure root cause analysis.

Assemble and align rotating equipment as per OEM standards and procedures.

Perform vibration checks, balancing, and performance testing on pumps.

Replace bearings, seals, sleeves, impellers, and other worn-out parts.

Prepare service reports, detailing inspection findings, measurements, and recommendations.

Ensure proper use of precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial gauges, verniers, etc.).

Work with supervisors / engineers to troubleshoot pump performance issues.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience :

Diploma / ITI Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade qualification.

3–7 years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance, with hands-on experience in pump overhauling

Strong knowledge of rotating equipment components, tolerances, and repair practices.
