Workshop Controller - Automotive - Qatar

A leading provider of aerial work platforms (AWPs) and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) in the Middle East and Asia is looking for a skilled Workshop Controller.

The Controller role is one of the busiest and most pressurized roles. This role involves assigning work to Technicians to ensure the smooth running of the workshop. The role holder will liaise with the Service Department to address any queries from the Workshop Manager. The responsibilities include planning all incoming work, managing time and resources, and assigning technicians to tasks to maximize productivity and meet deadlines. The incumbent is also responsible for team performance management and development.

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Assist management in implementing and maintaining effective processes to achieve high customer satisfaction.
• Create parameters for job activities / “Standard Repair / Operating Time” for jobs.
• Distribute and control work issuance to Technicians to maximize quality and efficiency by managing workflow.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the team to meet daily objectives.
• Maintain a strong relationship with the parts department to ensure parts availability.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of job card write-ups and incident reports, including job completion status.
• Maintain a safe working environment in line with the Company’s HSE policy and uphold high standards of housekeeping and appearance.
• Uphold the highest ethical standards in all responsibilities.
