29. Deputy Design Manager (Sewerage)

We are currently looking for a Deputy Design Manager – Sewerage with a minimum of 10 years experience in Sewerage and / or TSE (pressure pipeline) Design to join our client’s team in Qatar. Minimum Requirements : Minimum of 10 years experience in key aspects of Sewerage and / or TSE network design at all stages in a similar project / role. Minimum qualification : BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent. Ability to coach, mentor and develop staff. Excellent report writing and communication skills. Proven track record for delivery of concept through to detailed designs for TSE and / or foul drainage networks. Competence in using system modelling software such as INFOWORKS, WinDes and SewerCAD. Proactive in maintaining and enhancing client’s reputation with our clients and developing effective long-term client relationships, thus identifying and developing new opportunities for the Group. Willing and able to travel to India to support company Design Center on short-term assignments. An aptitude to multi-task and be self-starting in new business environments. Chartered Engineer with ICE or CIWEM. Good knowledge of buildability in urban areas. Working knowledge within a range of infrastructure sectors (e.g. Highways; New Developments) and working collaboratively with other disciplines. Experience of working in the Middle East. Duties Performed : Reporting to and deputising for Design Manager – Sewerage. Delivery of all aspects of Sewerage / TSE design at concept, preliminary, and detailed design stages of infrastructure projects. Ability to produce, review and approve designs and reports, departure applications, and other client deliverables. Review and approve design of Sewerage and / or TSE Networks. Review and approve project design drawings from concept to the tender stage. Review and approve technical specifications for various components for tender and contract documents. Preparation of project design reports, programmes, resource schedules. Liaison with the Design Managers, Project Managers, Stakeholders, and client / client organisations.
