Responsibilities and Qualifications
- To serve as the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) responsible for formulating and ensuring the effective implementation of strategies for the acquisition provision and maintenance of marine equipment.
- To ensure full compliance with safe working practices, established marine standards, and relevant international rules and regulations to meet operational performance targets and ensure maritime safety.
- Ship Masters license or a degree from an Institution of Shipping Studies.
- 10 years experience on board and on shore in a shipping company with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong people management skills.
- Good understanding of various aspects of the fleet operations, particularly marine-related aspects (safety communication and navigation).
- Advanced leadership skills.
- Knowledge of marine / ships technicalities, tools and equipment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent coordination skills.
- Time management skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Fluency in English.
