Senior Technical Safety Engineer

Muscat Engineering Consultancy LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Safety Engineer to lead design activities on major Oil & Gas projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and proficiency in industry-standard design tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute engineering projects based on technical specifications.
• Prepare & review reports, technical documentation, cost & manpower estimates, and risk assessments (TBE, Vendor packages, etc.).
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Provide engineering solutions to problems encountered during construction or operations.
• Participate in progress meetings, quality checks, and audits.
• Apply continuous improvement and innovation principles to project work.
• Actively train and encourage the development of staff to fulfill process and systems engineering roles.
• Participate in discipline‑specific design reviews, model reviews, HAZOP, HAZID, engineering best practices, etc. as applicable.
• Allocate workload judiciously to ensure optimum resource utilization.
