Job Brief We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to join our client's oil and gas team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping our projects from the ground up — turning drawings and specifications into accurate, competitive cost estimates. If you have a passion for numbers, precision, and engineering excellence, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact on major industrial projects.

Responsibilities

Review tender documents, project specifications, and drawings to understand project scope.

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for piping, pipelines, mechanical equipment, and related works.

Perform material take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from drawings and layouts.

Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, evaluate offers, and make comparisons.

Develop man-hour and resource estimates for fabrication, erection, and testing works.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for technical and commercial clarifications.

Prepare cost summaries, clarifications, and supporting documents for tender submissions.

Support post-award activities such as cost analysis and value engineering when needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Mechanical Engineering

or equivalent.

Minimum

5 years of experience

in cost estimation within the

Oil & Gas

sector.

Strong knowledge of

piping and pipeline systems , fabrication, and installation practices.

Proficient in

estimation software

and

MS Excel .

Familiar with

ASME, API , and other relevant industry codes and standards.
