We are seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer (Pipeline) to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering
- Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent (preferred)
Experience :
15 years postgraduate experience, with at least 10 years in the Oil & Gas industryAbility to utilize relevant engineering standards and codes related to offshore pipeline engineering and subsea facilitiesProficiency in pipeline engineering analysis software such as AUTOPIPE, CAESAR, SAGE, Orcaflex, ABAQUS (desirable)Experience across all project phases : feasibility, FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning, start-upExpertise in detailed design aspects like lateral buckling, crossings, routing, riser and spool-piece design, ECAs, installation analysisProficient with offshore pipeline deliverables including mechanical & stress design, corrosion coating, CP, risers, clamps, free span, crossings, and installation analysisExperience with subsea umbilicals and control systemsProven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in a multi-project environmentGood communication and presentation skills in EnglishPrimary Duties and Responsibilities :
Provide technical design and engineering services for subsea umbilical and power cable projectsEnsure quality in accordance with company procedures, considering schedule, cost, and HSEConduct site surveys and oversee engineering activities from concept to commissioningEnsure compliance with technical standards, environmental, and safety policiesReview and update engineering standards and practicesCoordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams for project deliveryDevelop engineering scopes of work and review vendor documentsDevelop and monitor project schedules and evaluate bid packagesAct as technical focal point for subsea facilities and support project executionManage interfaces with contractors and stakeholders, including operations and maintenanceProvide technical support during construction, commissioning, and startupMentor and train less experienced engineers#J-18808-Ljbffr
