Piping Engineer

The Piping Engineer is responsible for designing analyzing and overseeing piping systems in industrial projects They ensure that piping designs meet safety quality and efficiency standards and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to deliver project objectives on time and within budget Key Responsibilities Design and develop piping layouts and detailed drawings using CAD software Review and interpret engineering specifications codes and standards Perform stress analysis flexibility analysis and pipe support design Prepare and review procurement specifications and technical tender documents Coordinate with project teams contractors and vendors to ensure proper installation and commissioning Conduct site inspections to monitor installation quality and compliance Troubleshoot piping issues during construction and operation Ensure all piping work adheres to safety standards and environmental regulations Maintain documentation related to piping design modifications and inspections Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical Civil Process Engineering or related field Proven experience typically 3 years in piping design and engineering preferably in oil gas power or chemical industries Proficiency in CAD software AutoCAD PDMS SmartPlant or similar Knowledge of piping codes and standards ASME ANSI API etc Strong analytical and problemsolving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
