Senior Data Specialist

Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to review, critically appraise, and strategically analyze health care information that has been extracted from digital systems by data technicians and compiled by Data Specialist. This is to provide intelligence that enables evidence-based decision making. They will be required to present complex information from a variety of information sources (e.g. quantitative, qualitative, and epidemiological) to executive level staff in a way that conveys the results clearly and concisely. In order to do this, they must maintain a strategic perspective while working with detailed information. This will be through the analysis of trends, statistical reports, conversations and facilitation of discussions with key stakeholders and the application of a range of analytical techniques. Key Accountabilities

Provide intelligence through the collation, complex analysis and critical appraisal of health care information using proven analytical techniques. Study and highlight the implications of trends in HMC activity taking account of applicable local; national and international practice. Interprets findings, prepares standard and ad-hoc reports and delivers results to management and / or other leaders Leads programs and supports analytical projects. Oversees projects / programs and analyses large sets of data to extract actionable insights that will help drive decisions across the business. Develop and implement procedures / policies for effective data management. Make sure that data collection procedures are in line with all relevant rules and guidelines. Develop and maintain a system-level picture of activity to support detailed analysis on specific focus areas. Extend / modify analysis based on knowledge of the information and its limitations. Overseeing the integration of new technologies and initiatives into data standards and structures. Continually develop data management strategies. Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Statistics, Information Technology (IT) OR Engineering Experience

8 years’ experience in data management out of which 4 years in healthcare related field
