Functional Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled

Oracle Hyperion Techno-Functional Consultant

specializing in

Planning and ODI . The role requires strong hands‑on experience in system enhancements, Hyperion configuration, change management, testing, and end‑to‑end operational support. The consultant will be responsible for analyzing requirements, designing functional solutions, executing testing activities, coordinating with technical teams, and ensuring smooth delivery of changes and releases in accordance with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities Change Requests, Enhancements & Project Delivery

Take full ownership of

change requests, minor enhancements, major enhancements , and assigned project tasks.

Perform activities related to

system upgrades , patching, and other enhancement initiatives.

Conduct

requirements analysis ,

functional analysis ,

feasibility and impact analysis , and prepare

functional design

documentation.

Configure and implement solutions within Oracle Hyperion Planning & ODI.

Testing & Quality Assurance

Perform

Functional Testing ,

System Testing ,

Integration Testing , and

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

for enhancements.

Conduct

performance testing

using approved tools and processes.

Ensure testing is performed in compliance with organizational quality standards.

Release & Change Management

Execute

release management

activities while adhering strictly to HMC’s service management processes.

Follow established

Change, Release, and Ticket Management

procedures using the HMC ticketing system.

Prepare and maintain all required release documentation.

System Configuration & Technical Coordination

Perform configuration and setup activities in

Oracle Hyperion Test and Production environments .

Collaborate with

DBA and Infrastructure teams

to resolve schema, database, or user‑related issues.

User Support & Documentation

Provide

user training , knowledge transfer, and functional support for newly developed features or changes.

Prepare detailed documentation including setup guides, functional designs, security matrices, test plans, cutover plans, implementation strategies, rollback plans, and release notes.

Generate reports such as status updates and project progress reports as required.

Governance & Compliance

Adhere to

HMC Service Management guidelines , audit requirements, and standard operating procedures.

Ensure consistent use of service management tools for tracking changes, issues, and releases.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years

of experience as an Oracle Hyperion Techno-Functional Consultant.

At least 3 years

of hands‑on experience in

operational support .

Strong experience with

Oracle Hyperion Planning

and

Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) .

Strong analytical, functional design, and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent understanding of the end‑to‑end Hyperion lifecycle and support processes.

Hands‑on experience with

testing cycles , performance tuning, and release management.

Ability to document processes thoroughly and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Experience working in structured environments with formal change management processes.
