Job Summary
Laboratory Technicians work under the supervision of a medical technologist or physician to perform tests that help physicians diagnose and treat diseases. Lab technicians prepare samples for analysis, use equipment to locate microorganisms, monitor tests and procedures, analyze the chemical content of fluids, match blood for transfusions, and test for drug levels in the blood. Responsibilities
Extract blood from the patients for testing. Prepare the samples for processing. Process the samples according to laboratory standard operating procedures. Enter the results in the system. Deliver the results of the testing. Conduct the swab test for Covid 19 tests. Prepare copies of results for each clinic. Organize the documentation and filing of the Lab. Record patient\'s data in the lab book as per the Clinic standard. Answer the telephone and queries with regards to the lab. Job Knowledge & Skills
High level of attention to detail. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Ability to educate patients and families on health issues. Exceptional bedside manner. Working experience operating electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment. Comfortable handling potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, biohazards, etc.). In-depth knowledge of QHSE management systems, preventative measures, and laboratory best practices. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and database systems. Ability to work autonomously and under pressure. Superb dexterity and hand-eye coordination. ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills. Education
Bachelor\'s Degree in Clinical Laboratory or any related field Experience
