Senior Electrical Engineer
Location : Ras Laffan, Qatar
Contract : 17 months, Full-time
Role Purpose
Support the Project Manager in progressing and managing project deliverables, ensuring high quality and compliance with timelines. Focus on the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical control systems and equipment in oil and gas operations, with strong emphasis on safety-critical systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
- Minimum 8 years' experience in electrical engineering within the oil and gas industry
- Proficiency in SAP and Meridium
- Experience in installation and commissioning of electrical equipment
Key Responsibilities
Support project delivery by ensuring quality, compliance, and timely execution of electrical engineering tasksDesign, develop, and maintain electrical control systems for onshore and offshore operationsConduct risk assessments and hazard analysis, implementing mitigation strategiesPrepare technical reports, procedures, and documentationDevelop performance standards for safety-critical systems and elementsEnsure all maintainable safety-critical electrical equipment has effective assurance tasks and appropriate frequenciesIdentify and verify safety-critical equipment across electrical systemsDevelop and improve equipment strategies within SAP / MeridiumPrepare and implement preventive maintenance change requests (PMCRs) and collaborate with RCM teams to ensure strategy implementationWork closely with other subject matter experts to develop performance standards and equipment strategies for barrier management projectsSkills & Competencies
