Pharmacy Storekeeper

Job Summary

To maintain proper inventory control of the pharmacy department and to ensure that all medications and other pharmacy items are stored in a secure and proper place.

Job Responsibilities

• Encourages teamwork by showing initiative, being knowledgeable in all aspects of the daily running inventory functions.
• Pro-active in the management of out-of-stock or incomplete deliveries of items and reports such problems to the Pharmacy Manager.
• Responsible for setting and implementing an ExposureControl Plan to improve resilience to hazardous materials incidents.
• Takes initiative in keeping storage areas neat and keeping an updated list of items stored in locations other than pharmacy.
• Assigns and arranges medication locations according to best distribution and maintains the storage efficiently.
• Coordinates with technicians for packaging requirements unit dose preparations.
• Generates floor stock replenishment lists for all nursing units.
• Generates Purchase requisitions based on shortage items and coordinates with the pharmacy purchasing officer for ordering required medications.

High degree of accuracy in performing functions. Excellent communication skills. Advanced computer literacy. Advanced excel knowledge. ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
