Senior Environmental Engineer

Department : Environmental and Safety Engineering Primary Purpose : The Senior Environmental Engineer provides support to projects ensuring compliance with governmental environmental regulations and internal safety and health standards. This role is responsible for overseeing environmental aspects of project execution from engineering design to installation, commissioning, and handover. The engineer ensures adherence to environmental standards and safety processes throughout all phases of project development. Key Responsibilities : Ensure project compliance with local environmental laws and company standards. Provide technical support during engineering design, construction, and commissioning. Develop and implement environmental management plans and safety strategies. Review and endorse environmental impact assessments, baseline surveys, and risk assessments. Lead environmental workshops, assessments, and audits to ensure alignment with project scope and regulatory permits. Monitor contractor compliance with environmental management systems during project execution. Support development activities and mentor local talent. Qualifications and Experience : B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 15 years of experience in environmental engineering within the oil and gas industry. Extensive experience with environmental risk assessments, project management, and regulatory compliance. Familiar with international environmental standards and best practices.
