Position Title : Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location : Doha, Qatar

Direct Reports : Finance, Accounting, Treasury

Position Summary :

We are seeking a strategic and operationally focused Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial function of a dynamic, multi-entity organization based in Qatar. The CFO will be responsible for steering financial strategy, ensuring fiscal discipline, and delivering actionable insights to support informed decision-making. This role will play a critical part in shaping growth, enhancing profitability, and driving financial performance across all business units.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the overall financial strategy, planning, and performance management of the company in alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Oversee financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across multiple entities.
  • Ensure compliance with Qatari financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Drive the budgeting and forecasting cycle, delivering accurate financial projections and scenario analysis to support business planning.
  • Optimize capital structure, manage working capital, and oversee cash flow planning to ensure liquidity and funding availability.
  • Lead financial due diligence, feasibility analysis, and ROI assessments for new projects and investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to support growth initiatives, risk management, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls, financial governance frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage banking relationships, funding arrangements, and financial negotiations with external stakeholders.
  • Lead digital transformation in finance, including automation, ERP optimization (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and data-driven decision support.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; CPA, CA, or ACCA certification preferred; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance role in Qatar or the GCC.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Qatari tax and regulatory frameworks, and group-level financial consolidation.
  • Proven experience in leading finance for operationally complex businesses with multiple cost centers or revenue streams.
  • Excellent financial modeling, analytical thinking, and strategic planning skills.
  • Effective leadership and stakeholder management skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with project-based accounting and cost control.
  • Exposure to real asset-heavy industries or capital-intensive environments.
  • High level of integrity, strategic foresight, and execution discipline.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving market landscape.
