Tagalog Speaking Asst. Engineer - Luxury Boutique Hotel Experience | Antigua

Apt Resources is seeking a passionate and skilled Assistant Engineerfor our client in Antigua, a prestigious luxury boutique hotel. In this role, you will assist in ensuring that all hotel engineering operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and the engineering team to maintain the hotel's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other critical systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to creating exceptional guest experiences in a luxurious setting.

Responsibilities

Assist in the maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Support the Chief Engineer in managing day-to-day operations of the engineering department.

Perform routine inspections of equipment and systems, identifying potential issues and addressing them proactively.

Help coordinate and execute maintenance schedules and repairs.

Assist in the management of energy management systems and sustainability initiatives.

Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the timely resolution of engineering-related issues.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and parts used.

Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills.

Adhere to health and safety regulations and hotel policies.

Requirements

Relevant experience in engineering roles within luxury boutique hotels.

A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Technical diploma or degree in Engineering or a related field.

Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Knowledge of energy management systems and sustainability practices is a plus.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Benefits 8000 XCD (USD 2960) (inclusive of service charge), plus accommodation, and flights (one-way to Antigua and a return flight upon completion of the employment agreement).
