SAP Tax & Revenue Management Lead

The SAP Tax & Revenue Management (TRM) Lead will play a critical role in driving the design, implementation, and optimization of core tax administration processes within our SAP landscape. This position focuses on key functional areas including Registration / Deregistration, Returns Processing, Payments, and Refunds. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SAP TRM and FI-CA, proven experience in public-sector revenue programs, and the ability to translate legislative and operational needs into effective system solutions.

Solution Design & Delivery

• Lead end-to-end functional design for Registration / Deregistration, Returns, Payment Processing, and Refunds modules within SAP TRM.
• Translate tax legislation, policy requirements, and operational needs into SAP TRM configurations and functional specifications.
• Define and maintain system architectures, process models, tax obligation rules, and workflow configurations.

Professional Expertise

Experience leading SAP Tax & Revenue Management (TRM) implementations within government or public‑sector environments.

Strong understanding of tax administration processes : registration / deregistration, return filing, payment processing, assessments, and refunds.

Ability to interpret legislation and business policies and translate them into system rules, workflows, and functional requirements.

Proven capability in conducting workshops, gathering requirements, and collaborating with senior business, policy, and IT stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work in complex transformation programs.

Experience managing cross‑functional teams, vendors, and technical delivery workstreams.

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Technical Expertise

Deep functional expertise in SAP TRM with hands‑on configuration experience in Registration, Returns, Payments, and Refunds modules.

Strong knowledge of FI‑CA (Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable), including payment clearing, dunning, account determination, and disbursement workflows.

Experience configuring TRM business objects, obligation rules, form bundles, returns workflows, payment schemas, and refund processes.

Proficiency in designing and supporting integrations using SAP PI / PO, SAP CPI, APIs, middleware, and interfaces with portals, payment gateways, and banking systems.

Understanding of SAP CRM processes for taxpayer case management, master data management, and workflow routing.

Experience with data migration, data mapping, cleansing, and reconciliation for TRM and FI‑CA.

Ability to develop functional specifications, process maps, data models, test scenarios, and configuration documentation.

Knowledge of SAP authorization concepts, internal controls, and audit / compliance requirements within TRM and FI‑CA environments.
