Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Support the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations and ensure consistency in taste and appearance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations following health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor food stock and assist in ordering supplies to avoid shortages or wastage.
  • Ensure all meals are prepared and served in a timely manner to meet employee dining schedules.
  • Work as part of a team, providing support and training to junior kitchen staff when needed.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Assist with menu planning and special dietary requests under guidance.
  • Report any kitchen equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management promptly.

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen experience, preferably in a large-scale or institutional catering environment.
  • Basic culinary training or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality food preparation.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends if required.
