Mechanical Lead Responsibilities
Ensure correct application of Material Science know-how within Upstream, Downstream and Subsea from Conceptual Design up to FEED Phase, in accordance with project / client requirements and HSE management Design up to FEED for projects and coordinate with the referent Lead and Project / Client requirements Coordinate Material design activities and preparation of project documents under the coordination of the referent Lead Support the referent Project Lead in meeting project costs, time, objectives, quality, contractual requirements and applicable laws and standards Support Bids and Project execution in defining effective and competitive materials selection concepts Interface with all project disciplines about Material requirements, activities and assessment during Project Acquisition and Execution Define requirements regarding Painting, Coating, Insulation systems, Welding and Cathodic Protection (CP) systems and NDT techniques Perform Asset Integrity Assessment for existing facilities Execute Acquisition and Execution activities, supporting the Technical Lead Produce and update technical documentation within the field of activity Provide evaluation of corrosion mechanisms, applicability of international standards for material selection, definition of critical services, and corrosion monitoring strategies Coordinate materials and corrosion failure analysis and define corrosion strategies to be included in general specifications for Painting, Coating and Insulation Perform site surveys and provide recommendations and corrective actions (Asset Integrity Assessment) Coordinate with the Lead to monitor performance indicators and support the interdisciplinary review of documents Suggest and report design changes and ensure approved changes are implemented under Lead instruction Report critical situations and lessons learned to the referent Project Lead / Manager Details
