Pipe Fitter

Responsibilities : Read and interpret ship drawings, isometrics, and marine piping schematics .

Fabricate, assemble, and install pipes, valves, and fittings for ship systems such as ballast, bilge, fire main, fuel oil, sea water, and hydraulic lines.

Fit-up and align pipes and components for welding and brazing operations according to standards.

Conduct hydrostatic and air pressure testing of marine piping systems.

Install and secure pipe hangers, supports, and brackets onboard vessels and platforms.

Modify or repair existing piping systems during ship repair or dry‑docking.

Assist welders with joint preparation, beveling, and alignment.

Requirements Qualifications & Experience : ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Pipe Fitting Trade.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Pipe Fitter in shipyard, marine, or offshore projects.

Strong understanding of marine piping systems (sea water, fuel, hydraulic, and pneumatic lines).

Ability to read and interpret ship piping drawings and class requirements.
