Storage and Backup Senior Specialist

Job Description

Technical Expertise :

• Expertise in enterprise storage technologies — SAN, NAS, and Object Storage (Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, Pure Storage, etc.).
• Strong experience with Backup, Replication, and Recovery solutions (Commvault, Veeam, Veritas NetBackup, Azure Backup, Rubrik, etc.).
• Deep knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS storage and data protection architecture Proficiency in cloud-native storage and backup services (Azure Blob, Azure Files, AWS S3, EBS, Glacier, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in storage performance tuning, high availability design, and data lifecycle management.
• Skilled in data deduplication, compression, snapshot, and replication mechanisms.
• Strong scripting and automation experience using PowerShell,  Python, or Ansible for storage and backup operations.
• Expertise in cross-region replication, DR setup, and resiliency solutions (Azure Site Recovery, Zerto, etc.).
• Comprehensive understanding of encryption, key management, and compliance frameServicess (GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Experience integrating and managing storage monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Zabbix, NetApp Active IQ, or vendor-native platforms).
• Knowledge of tiered storage, archival solutions, and cost optimization strategies for long-term data retention.
