Job overview

This position will work with the Ooredoo Group Leadership Team, the OpCo Leadership and their direct reports. The Director of IT Enablement will be accountable for the successful delivery of ESS Transformation Program by alignment of technology and digital strategies that will strengthen the ESS platform. The program aims to implement a unified way of working across Finance, Sourcing and Human Resources with clear roles and responsibilities that eliminates redundancy and promotes efficiency across the whole footprint of Ooredoo.

The role will ensure a coordinated approach throughout Ooredoo, enabling Ooredoo operations to execute their mandates effectively.

The Director will be accountable for TO-BE SAP architecture and effective migration as well as stabilization of the systems with the defined timeframes and budget.

The role will report to the Sr. Director Program Support Office and will be subject to Governance via the GMC and OneOoredoo SteerCo.

Your impact on our goals

More specifically the role will :

  • be accountable for the production and E2E operations (as per ITIL standard) of the ERP ecosystem across all three functions and across all local markets interacting with Group and market CxO possible under very tense situations in case of production incidents
  • need to establish all operational processes, tools, suppliers, SLAs and KPIs for operations, system performance management and system capacity management
  • need to design the relevant organizational structure with suitable roles and responsibilities envisioning an efficient, competent, scalable, 24x7 organization that will quickly adopt new technologies and introduce high automation and AI capabilities
  • be accountable for the rational utilization of SAP, icertis, BMC and general all required licenses
  • need to establish and manage a Managed Services contract and operating model with our IT Managed services supplier
  • be the focal point of the group and the markets for production audits, relevant processes and reports as well as business continuity and Information Security matters interacting at CxO level
  • manage a multi-million-dollar budget across license and services and hybrid team of ~12-15 people
  • be responsible to propose the right technical solution / system architecture based on best practices, reusability of the solution among Ooredoo footprint, functionalities, licenses and costs of operations
  • identify and propose cross-functional utilization of SAP components for non-ERP use cases
  • define the integration strategy and architecture of the SAP ecosystem and all local markets’ IT architecture including BSS, OSS and ESS systems.
  • Further to production systems the role will be responsible to maintain and operate all pre-production systems balancing between fully utilizing available systems and always having enough capacity to accommodate project needs
  • be accountable for release management, CAB, Go Live cutover activities of all projects
  • be accountable for implementing data protection mechanisms and adherence to company's policies as well as data availability and integrity in both production and pre-production systems
  • be accountable to supervise all testing activities including functional testing and non-functional testing, UAT and integration phases of the project to secure zero impact to the existing production systems
  • establish the testing tools and automation methodologies to maximize release management while minimizing market disruption and contribution
  • define the release management calendar, value proposition and business case to perform updates and upgrades of the production systems
  • need to manage several suppliers / vendors
  • considering the nature of the organization (Program and IT Delivery & Operations) the role is also regarded a 3-year successor for the overall Program organization
  • Your profile

    Experience

  • 10 years of Senior Management Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of IT Transformation and SAP experience
  • Minimum 5 years in Telco / sector industry
  • Deep knowledge and experience in SAP cloud technologies like ECC, S4HANA, SAAS, ABAP, BRF+, Fiori, BTP, SAC or Oracle Fusion, EBS
  • First-hand experience in setting up operational processes and tools
  • Familiar with ITIL, e-TOM framework
  • Experience on integrating legacy applications with SAP landscape
  • Experience in Data quality and Data migration
  • Proven experience in making organization adapt to new technologies
  • Proven experience in building standards, tools and support processes
  • Understanding of the SAP Activate methodology, Agile, and dev-ops delivery model
  • Ability to review design documents, critique architecture recommendations from other SMEs and a leader of architecture board process
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders with diverse and divergent business needs, resolves conflicts and brings alignment towards a common and robust design in system.
  • Clear, concise business communication and experience conducting demand management and business requirements workshops with business users.
  • Extensive knowledge of software engineering, design, and overall architecture
  • Strong knowledge of how to lead and motivate in a large-scale IT organization with both people and technology focus
  • High level of energy and creativity for transformation, willingness to go the extra mile
  • Regional and international travel
  • University degree, Masters preferred
