An Outside Catering Waiter / ess is responsible for serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while having extensive knowledge of menu offerings.

What will I be doing?

As an Outside Catering Waiter / ess, you are responsible for serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. An Outside Catering Waiter / ess will also be required to have extensive knowledge of menu offerings. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards :

• Manage guest queries in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
• Ensure knowledge of menu and all products
• Ensure mis-en-place is well stocked at all stations
• Follow correct reporting procedures if faced with issues
• Ensure Food and Beverage orders are of a consistently good standard and delivered in a timely manner
• Practice Hilton Grooming standards including uniform dress code, cleanliness and personal hygiene
• Prepare the outside catering set up to meet function specifications
• Deliver and serve food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments and accompaniments
• Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
• Prepare and replenish foods for hot and cold buffets to include, but not limited to, fruit, juices, cereals, bread, hot food, etc.
• Replenish ice and maintain time and temperature sanitation standards
• Transport food items to and from the kitchen
• Check, maintain and control inventory of food items / beverages
• Restock with inventory and break down the buffet to clean, replace and set for next day
• Perform general cleaning to maintain cleanliness of work area
• Put away food stock and dry goods according to established standards
• Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
• Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
