The Pediatric Physician function is to provide healthcare for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults 17 years of age and under. Pediatric physicians are crucial in the timely assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of illness, disease, and injuries. The Pediatric Physician will be required to educate the patients and their caretaker on physical, psychological, growth and development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive health examinations for infants, young children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries.
- Order, perform, interpret test results, and analyze records and reports.
- Formulate treatment plans.
- Provide follow-up care for patients as needed.
- Prescribe medications and provide detailed instructions to the patient or caregiver.
- Administer treatments, therapies, and other specialized medical care.
- Prescribe vaccinations based on current CDC guidelines and immigration requirements.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients and family members in simple terms.
- Monitor patients' growth and development.
- Advise parents, patients, and guardians on nutrition, activities, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient health information and histories.
- Refer patients to specialists when required.
- Coordinate healthcare plans with nurses, social workers, and other healthcare workers.
- Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensure that all medical records are meticulously and accurately maintained.
- Provision of clinical reporting to the DCMO.
- Support clinical mentoring for staff development.
- Ensure best practices in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs.
- Support the clinical excellence framework under the direction of the DCMO.
- Provide liaison with external agencies where required to promote continuity of care and professional referral / patient handover.
- Provide pediatric consulting services to Emergency Room and Urgent Care personnel as required.
- Produce as required daily, weekly or monthly activity mandated reports.
- Participate in call coverage to provide 24 hours 7 day a week urgent or emergency coverage.
- Participate in mass-casualty drills twice a year.
- Complete required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
