Cost Estimation Engineer, Doha

Linum Consult’s client is a major international company. They are currently seeking a Cost Estimation Engineer to be based in their head office in Doha, Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing, reviewing, and coordinating cost estimates for all phases, ensuring alignment with budgets, forecasts, and contract requirements

Delivering reliable cost estimates benchmarked against historical data and market trends, validated through collaboration with the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams

Developing, maintaining, and regularly updating a structured cost database containing historical project data, unit rates, productivity norms, and vendor / supplier pricing

Evaluating the cost impacts of scope changes, variation orders, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)

Supporting senior estimators with reporting and maintaining detailed records

PROFILE

Degree qualification in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other relevant subject

At least 7 years’ experience in similar roles in large companies, with a minimum of 3 years in major projects

Excellent knowledge of SAP or Oracle systems

Strong collaborative and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, and external partners

Excellent communication skills in English, with any Arabic language skills a distinct advantage
