BUSINESS CONTINUITY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the enterprise-wide businesscontinuity management program including development of tools and instructional
guides for both businesses and IT
Develop disaster recovery plans for physical locations with critical assets such asdata centres
Develop contingency plans to deal with organizational emergenciesTest documented disaster recovery strategies and plansAnalyze impact on, and risk to, essential business functions or information systemsto identify acceptable recovery time periods and resource requirements
Assess risks to business operations and develop mitigation controls and planEstablish, maintain, or test call trees to ensure appropriate communication duringdisaster
Monitor organizational compliance with regulationsDesign or implement products and services to mitigate risk or facilitate use oftechnology-based tools and methods
Create scenarios to re-establish operations from various types of businessdisruptions
Implement crisis management plan and crisis communication plansContribute to establishing and maintaining program processes and practices whicheffectively ensure that the IT program remains current and incorporates / aligns
with industry standards and practices as appropriate, and adequately covers
general regulatory requirements
Ensure appropriate integration of requirements and information obtained fromvarious sources, including external regulators and Auditors
Participate as independent business continuity professional in support of variousother initiatives to achieve the risk management objectives
Identify potential Business Interruptions, develop safeguards against theseinterruptions, and implement recovery procedures in the event of a business
interruption
Provide documentation and training on Contingency Planning concepts andprocedures
Safeguard data processing operations by identifying potential problem areas andsingle points of failure that may result in interruptions to critical data processing
operations
Develop safeguards and Business Recovery Plans and Procedures governing theremote Business Offices and Operations associated with the organization
Identify and Categorize outage exposures that could cause a business interruption,then obtain Insurance and Vendor agreements to safeguard against a disaster
event
Assess the Business Continuity implications of proposed technological ororganizational changes and coordinating any revisions to existing Business
Continuity Plans and Procedures
Coordinate routine updates to the detailed information supporting the BusinessContinuity Procedures (e.g., contact lists, personnel assignments, hardware and
software specifications, network diagrams, vital records management and
inventory lists, off-site back-up schedules, etc.)
Coordinate electronic access to, and hard copy distribution of, the BusinessContinuity Plans and Procedures
Consider information security continuity requirementsEnsuring all personnel with specific Business Continuity responsibilities areadequately trained to fulfil their assigned responsibilities
Perform other duties as requested to meet the ongoing organizational needsExperience / Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree, plus substantial continued education and training in the relatedfield
8-12 years of progressive experience in Business Continuity, Disaster recovery, DRTesting and Crisis Management
Ability to read, analyze and interpret information as it pertains to compliance related functions and regulationsSignificant, demonstrable, experience within business continuity and disasterrecovery role
Strong understanding of key Compliance, standards, and framework such as ISO,NIST, etc.
Preferred to hold Business continuity certifications such as ISO 22301, CBCI, CBCPetc.
Preferable have worked in Health Care SectorApply now
