Position : Sr. Project Manager - Utilities

About the Client :
Our client is one of the leading engineering, construction, technical, and management services firms. A leader in various diversified markets with a focus on transportation, environmental / infrastructure, and defense / security.
Responsibilities :
- Represent the interests of the client during construction execution.
 - Negotiate changes to the scope of work.
 - Follow up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
 - Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients' interests.
 - Oversee establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance / Quality Control Plan, and other documents required from the construction contractor.
 - Monitor the execution of the technical, financial, and administrative functions of the construction contract.
 - Assign responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths.
 - Provide input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.
 - Identify the needs for specialist resources to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
 - Work with the client, the contractor, project managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to coordinate budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project.
 - Monitor action plans to rectify potential construction cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
 - Advise the client and other team members of any such changes.
 - Oversee coordination with the Contracts Management and Project Controls Groups and any client sub-contractors to maintain current and timely change orders.
 
Minimum Requirements :
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field and 18+ years of experience working on large-scale development projects.
Professional registration and CEng / PEng.
A broad general technical and construction background working on large-scale Utilities projects.
Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.
A thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
